- The speaker, Jaime Maussan, introduced the topic at the beginning of his talk.

- The video of a penguin standing on a tree is shown at around 10:50. As you can see in the video, the penguin's head is moving and it appears to be alive, not a model. A still image cut out of the video is below.

My view
- Of course, this is not a penguin, nor is it a model. It is not a fake. Even someone like me, who has no interest in wildlife and little knowledge of them, immediately recognizes this identity.

- I would like to think that Jaime Maussan and the audience were aware of this identity and were enjoying the light-hearted joke... but it seems that they really thought it was a penguin.

- The bird is simply perched on an unleafed branch at the top of a tree. It would be faster to look at the explanatory diagram below than to explain it in text.
