There's a lot of content out there regarding this. This one particular event. I mean, the most the biggest thing right now is the documentary on Netflix, the phenomenon. So it's we our culture isn't really obsessed with it, with this alien stuff. So each time I've met someone new and mentioned it, I've had to tell this is one of the stories that I tell each and every year, every single time, because people are so intrigued because when you say your culture, you're from from from Zimbabwe. Sorry. So it's from Zimbabwe. So we're very we're very superstitious culture. (00:03:50)

So stuff like that is like, yo, you don't really fuck with that kind of stuff. So was only when I really came here. Of course, I mean, I told it as as a kid, you know, meeting new people and all that. But it was only when I came here where the interest in the actual story was like, you know, people were going crazy. (00:04:06)

I mean, people obsessed with aliens. That's weird. Yeah. Did you know that? Superstition? No. That other witchcraft? Well, I've heard about that, but I just I kind of assumed that humans everywhere kind of look up at the sky and be like, what the fuck is up there? So the curiosity is there. You look up in the sky, but you don't really fuck with it. (00:04:26)

So you'll watch and see what's going on, because something like that was just like that's an egg. That's a crazy ass event that took place. (00:04:32)

You don't see shit like that. So you went and watched it and all, but it's like, whoa, is this like the superstitious the African gods going to come down and and curse my family type of shit? So so it's thingy. So anyway, I believe it was 1994, 1994, a small town in a small town in Zimbabwe named Rua. So so I went to aerial school, small town in Zimbabwe. (00:04:55)

And how old are you? I was five, five years old. So it's it's so aerial is nursery school. So it's like your equivalent of of kindergarten or pre-K, whatever you call it. Nursery school up until up until elementary school. Small farming town community. So kids, you know, it's you start at like three. Is that when kindergarten starts? Like preschool. There you go. So from like three to 12 is what's it called? (00:05:22)

So it was it was a school. It was I think it was in the fall or something. I can't remember exactly the time of the year, but afternoon break. Have you ever watched? Have you ever watched Harry Potter? Yes. You guys know what prefect is? Yep. I don't. I went to prep school. We had prefects. Boom. There you go. So in the equivalent in the equivalent of your,There you go. (00:05:40)

So in the equivalent in the equivalent of your, I guess, for lack of better terms of your senior year of elementary school. So the 12 year olds within that group, they identify kids that show promise for leadership and all that. It's like give them extra responsibilities and all. They're like a like a almost like a go between like a liaison to like the faculty in a way. That's exactly what they are. (00:06:00)

So they are they are like the faculty's eyes when the faculty can't watch. So do you like these people? If you're a snitch, no. So I could also be like a someone who's like an R.A. Actually, that's exactly what it is. So R.A. R.A. the the the the college equivalent. So during recess, during recess or break time is when the teachers have time outside of the classrooms together at the same time so they can have their staff meetings then. (00:06:27)

So they usually have their staff meetings during like recess and they leave the prefects like supervise. They supervise the kids during the you know, playing cricket, playing touch rugby, that type of stuff. They're the eyes on the ground. So it was recess. And just all of a sudden that all the teachers, all the teachers were like in a teacher's meeting. All of a sudden, this bright fucking thing just appears in the sky. Right. (00:06:53)

And also, I want to preface I want to preface by saying, honestly, I don't even remember the actual physically remember the actual event. But what's happened is each time I've met someone new, I've had to tell the story. So now it's more I've memorized the story and the memory has pretty much completely faded. That was 1990. What were 2021? (00:07:14)

Oh, that's interesting. That was 1994. So it's more memorizing the story than actually recalling the actual event because I was a kid at the time and really didn't know what was going on. So it really faded away kind of thing. So the prefects were watching us. Fucking thing just appears very, very, very bright. It's a farming area. It's a farming town. So outside of our fences, it's just plain farmlands. (00:07:39)

So you can just see you can see shit just miles and miles. You know, there's crops or whatever. It's just open kind of flat. Yeah. You can even look it up on like Google Maps and stuff. So Ariel is a R.I.E.L. school in Rua. Look it up on Google Maps. You'll see the area is all like it's all like thing. So we just see this thing coming out of the sky. (00:07:57)

All the kids just run towards the fence to go check this out because I mean, you're young, you're curious, you like what the fuck is going on. You have never actually seen anything like this. Bright saucepan thing falls, falls, comes, comes to the ground. Little men pop out bright as fuck. So while all this is going on, one of the you know, a couple of the kids, the smaller kids were like, yo, what the fuck is going on? (00:08:25)

Let's go tell the teachers. So they ran in to go interrupt to go interrupt the staff meeting and say, you know, something weird is going on outside. So teachers, I mean, if a six year old, seven year old comes into you and be like, you know, something weird is going on, you're probably just going to be like, yo, give me two minutes. Let me finish off what I'm doing and go attend to it. (00:08:43)

That's what happened. So they kind of just brushed it off kind of deal. Another kid came in and they were like, yo, something really is going on. And then apparently a prefect. So it was like when the third kid came in, when three kids come in and one of the prefects comes in and says that something really weird is going on, then something really weird is going on. (00:09:07)

So a teacher came out at that particular time and was able to actually see the thing as it was leaving kind of deal. And that's what that's what sort of that's what validated, for lack of a better term, that's what validated. So it wasn't just a bunch of children. It wasn't a bunch. So it was a lot of people that saw it. It wasn't just a bunch of people. (00:09:30)

That's what validated it. And they're like, holy shit, something did go on kind of deal. Do you have any like concept of how much time had elapsed from the landing? To be honest, to be honest, that's now all a blur. That's now all it wasn't. So so it wasn't that long. (00:09:45)

It wasn't that long. That's for sure. It wasn't like sitting there for an hour. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Because the break time itself, if I remember correctly, there were there were like less than 30 minutes. OK, so the break time, it wasn't that long at all. OK. It's like the time conception. I'm not too, too, too sure. So what happens then? So what happens then now, right, is other people in like the surrounding farms and farm workers, everyone in that area saw that bright thing and it just became a buzz. It became a buzz. Then from then from then on, I don't know what happened, how it all happens. Like within that week. Next thing you know, this is small town. (00:10:24)

I believe our school at the time only had like 60. You can look it up. There was like 60 kids, 50 kids. Next thing you know, we got the BBC coming in. So this is this is little, little, little Zah over here that, you know, who knows nothing at the time. Well, we're barely just just learned how to speak English kind of deal. (00:10:44)

Young kid. Next thing you next thing you know, you're hearing BBC is coming in. Fucking these the local news came in and then researchers. So like PhDs from like Harvard, you know, the aliens, guys, whatever you call them, the guys that study, yeah, study the aliens, guys from big time schools come in. And then what they did is they ran the experiment that kind of really, you know, confirm this to the world and be like, yo, this is shit. This this shit actually did kind of happen. (00:11:17)

What they did was they took all the kids that were there, right? They took all of us at the time. They completely isolated us, completely isolated us. And I think we have the we have the images on screen right now. What they did is they asked each and every kid in isolation to draw what they saw that particular day. Wow. Right. So they were we were asked to draw what we saw on that particular day. And even if you go back, if you go back on that YouTube images pages, you can see that there's multiple they show in one right now, but there's multiple pictures, different pictures and all that. So we were asked to draw what we saw on that day. They collected all the pictures and long behold, they were all identical. Huh? So they were like, holy fuck. Yeah, they were like, holy fuck. So we have an incident there. And then that's more researchers came in and all. Next thing you know, the documentaries coming out. We now have Netflix movies coming out, making. (00:12:29)

It's it's about it's it's so I haven't seen it personally myself. I, I, I. Why would you? You were there. Yeah. And also and also it's one of those things where I don't really like. But I don't like telling the story because, you know, it's it's you're asked. People ask me to tell it. Yeah. Then I say then I start getting abuse back kind of deal. So I'm just like, you know what? We would. No, no, no, no. I mean, it's fine. I'm just saying just in general. And I listen, there are a lot of people in this company where they're like, hey, I saw aliens. I'd be like, yeah, no, I'd be like, hey, I saw aliens. (00:13:10)

I'd be like, yeah, no, I'd be like, I'd be like kind of poking them and make fun of this. You're not one of them. Yeah. And I don't really I don't really care if you believe me or not. I don't care. So you can watch you can watch it. The people people seem to like to believe Netflix better. But I don't care if you believe me or not. (00:13:23)

Really don't care kind of deal. But it's it was a it was something and it's this is another question that might be like fuzzy or maybe maybe it's just in the research now, too. But how far from the fence did this thing land? It was so it was the immediate fields. I would say a soccer field. I probably could be less. It was it was very, very because of soccer fields like 100 yards. (00:13:49)

Yeah. Yeah. And it's. It was so they were clearly visible, they were clearly visible, and they were they were small, they were they were small, they were clearly visible. So the actual distance itself, I don't know if they did it on the movie and they have the reason they probably did the proper research and all that. I am not too sure about that. (00:14:05)

But the distance they were clearly. Yeah. Now, you also said earlier that like the whole alien obsession is not really yet. So which which is what I was surprised when I came here because it's commercialized. Look at this. You go back, you go back to aliens are commercialized big time. Oh, you go back to movies like like like E.T. Alien itself and all that. (00:14:26)

And because of our cultures, it's it's super, you know, that's superstitious. And also it was it was when I came, when I moved over here, when I realized, yeah, holy shit, this is big. So I guess what what year did you move? What you came in for college for college 2010. OK, so I guess my question was going to be like when we had that image of like the saucer and the the alien, it looks like the images that were drawn look kind of what's in popular culture. No, no, no. This is that's I know exactly where you're going. Yeah. Like so is that like something that you like people in Zimbabwe were aware of? What like what Western people thought of? My response to you is is 60, 60 or 60 something. There's multiple images, 60 or 60 something kids held in isolation. Yeah, true. Drew the same thing. It's kids held in isolation, drew the same. And it's also it's also at a time to where where the country really wasn't as modernized, as modernized. And, you know, as a how do you say keeping up with like, yeah, American culture, stuff like that. So if like, for example, I was a big wrestling fan coming up, I would watch SummerSlam will be shown on TV three weeks after it was broadcasted live. OK, so, you know, we're a culture that was behind. OK. (00:15:51)

Because that does look like that, like the little green men that like with the big eyes and like the saucer where it's like, hmm, like this isn't. So I I'm not too sure. There we go. So there's there's more pictures there, multiple and stuff like that. So I'm not too sure about other events, but I'm pretty sure this this is the first time that people have seen or felt seen something weird or whatever. So I'm guessing that just makes me think that. This is super real, because maybe maybe it is just like one, you know, when they have Roswell, they look like that. And then if you like, I love ancient aliens, a History Channel show. A lot of times, like even like the old like depictions are like, oh, it's been dismissed, like it's something else. It's not that. They all kind of look like that. (00:16:33)

So it makes me wonder if like if it's the same aliens. Coming like is the universe is so big, there might be aliens from all sorts of different places. But maybe it's just like this is like the one planetary species, whatever. That just like they just come to land, pop in. Yeah. Let's take one more break here. Let's talk about Roman. They focused they focused on our school for these. I'm not sure on the actual on the actual like phenomenon and stuff, because I haven't seen it. If they were able to speak to any of the locals who were around at the time and they were there, but they focused on our school because that was the one spot where the majority of the people there was. I mean, it was like, yeah, 50 people that saw it from there. So they came to the school and it's easy access there. But I'm sure I'm sure like the movies have gone to the one to go speak to speak to like the locals that were there. I know they have an interview with with the headmaster, the principal, the principal and the budget kids and masters to stuff like that. (00:19:03)

Private school. Yeah, this guy, this guy. Now was the headmaster he so he vouched for it as well. Yeah. So they interviewed a lot of people. They found they interviewed a lot of it's it's all out there on the thing. It's just I I myself really have zero interest in it. You also haven't really watched or looked into it or whatever. So you do you know, mainly because of superstition and all. (00:19:25)

I got to watch this documentary now because the thing that made my ears perk up is when you're like, yeah, these all these scientists came in, these PhDs from Harvard. Yeah. (00:20:41)

Then all of a sudden you have this bright fucking thing that's just falling. Yeah, it's like it's it's probably I mean, I can equate it to fast. Fall. I can equate it to have you have you guys ever had us? But I don't even think it's that crazy. Have you guys ever had a walk? Crazy enough. Have you guys ever had like a solar eclipse? (00:23:02)

Have you seen a full eclipse? Yeah. That comes like once. So it's it's it's like in that ballpark or even higher or whatever. But it's absurdity kind of deal. So and because of that, the fact that it was so absurd, which is why I go back to that point, I would have preferred ideally would have appreciated it a whole lot more if I was if that happened when I was a bit older. Yeah. I mean, even if you were like nine. Yeah. Think about how much more clearly your mother's at that at that time. Yeah. Development development happens because I actually do kind of remember like rugby games. The first rugby games that I played from from, you know, it's like fucking insane to me about this whole interaction. Like it's like, yeah, I saw you. I don't give a fuck. Like what? (00:23:47)

I feel like if that if like if I were five and like something mysterious came down from the sky and I saw these little guys and everybody's talking to me, my life would be dedicated to it. It kind of is. It was. But it's it's just it's been a long time. I know. I know. So it's just what this that one thing where it happens, then the older you get, the more the memory phase, then, you know, you're. (00:24:11)

No, I just know. And I was talking about it like declassified. If I was so if I was here, if that had happened and I was here, I moved here immediately when I was five because of the culture here and because of how I've been getting, you know, been getting squeezed, been getting hustled, been having to say this and and tell the story here.
