And one of them came out with, there's only seven people who actually saw that thing, whatever it was. And of those seven people, five, and the five of them are military, didn't see anything special about it. So this only comes down to two people who thought that there might be something really weird about this. It's pretty thin, if you think about it, if you look at the evidence from that perspective, and then all the rest of the story is hearsays and rumors. (00:12:51)

And I mean, books like Philip Corso that exaggerate things. (00:12:55)

And then we all discover after thorough analysis that almost all of it is fabrication. So, in the end, I think in the Roswell story, there's not a whole lot.

そもそも Eric Ouellet の語るタイトルのような調査結果は初耳だが、誰の調査結果で、その根拠は何か、を Eric Ouellet は一切、語っていない。

私の知る範囲で、Roswell の破片に直接触れたり見たりしたと民間人は少なくとも

  3. George Wilcox :保安官
  4. Jesse Marcel Jr.：Jesse Marcel の息子
  5. Jesse Marcel の妻

の 5人になる。この 5人が目撃したことを疑う正当な理由はない。

それなのに、 Eric Ouellet （が高く評価する「詳細に分析した人」）は何を根拠に「たったふたりの非軍人の目撃者」だと言うのか？

  • 「入手可能な証拠を非常に詳細に分析した人」って誰だ？

  • 「その視点から証拠を見れば、かなり薄っぺらいもので、あとは伝聞や噂ばかりだ」と言うが、その視点とやらが信用できないのだが。

  • 「徹底的に分析した結果」というが、どこが徹底的なのだ？ 恣意的な分析を徹底的な分析と言い換えていないか？

このように、Eric Ouellet の主張は初っ端から大きな疑問符がつく。言い換えると Eric Ouellet の主張は怪しい(*1)ので注意して扱う必要がある。

Eric Ouellet joins me for a fascinating discussion of his new book, Illuminations: The UFO Experience as a Parapsychological Event. He proposes that we should examine the UFO Phenomenon as we would a poltergeist case. It's a novel way of looking at it, and may ultimately play a part in solving this enigma.
