次世代版 DeepL（2024-07）におけ る翻訳の（意図的な？）品質格下げ

2024-07 に 「次世代」版の DeepL が公開され、翻訳の質がかなり向上したことは過去記事でも述べた。
特に、係り受け構文を無視するという悪癖が改善した。だが、係り受け構文の改善は翻訳する量がごく短い場合に限られるようだ。
同じ係り受け構文が含まれていても、前後に別の文章がふくまれて翻訳量が多くなると、途端に「係り受け構文を無視する」悪癖がでる。その具体的な証拠が下。
ジョン・マックが初期に調査したもう一つの事件で、私も彼も非常に説得力があると感じたのは、2人の10代の少女がお泊まり会をしたという話だった。 その夜、少女の一人の母親が様子を見に行くと、少女たちは行方不明になっていた。
