And the main thing you point to is the view of poltergeist cases. Yes. In my book, I'm using a model that was developed by a parapsychologist from Germany, Walter von Lukadu, to study poltergeist. (00:15:47)
But poltergeist, again, from a point of view of parapsychology, is not a spirit or some sort of ghosts, but one individual in conjunctions with his or her environment, so the other people around, who through the use of psychokinesis, so mind over matter, make things move, create sounds, sorry, and really create a situation that is really strange and weird. But that's an individual or person and a group of person that are involved in that. (00:16:24)
And so I'm using that model, but on a different scale, look at could UFO unfold as a poltergeist. And so a good chunk of my book is using that approach. And we've noted on this show many times before that, for instance, if someone sees a light in the sky, it must be extraterrestrials, but you see a light in a house, the same type of light in a house, and now it's a ghost. And that's really here an issue of the perception of something that is out of place, that is strange, that is bizarre, that's one thing. And then the interpretation of that bizarre thing is quite another one. And we know that the way we interpret things has a lot to do with what we believe and what we have in our minds. So it's very important to look into that aspect of us human, our culture, our beliefs, our individual psychology, how it's actually taint or how we report, how we describe strange phenomena.
