He waited until he was in his 70s to report this experience to UFO researchers, and he only did so after hearing about the Betty and Barney Hill case and hearing about UFOs. And again, his case is often cited as England's first on-board UFO encounter. One of the researchers who interviewed him, Eric Richards, says this, Mr. Lancashire is by no means a crank. (0:12:23)

He is absolutely sincere and clearly believes all he has told me. He is in himself definitely sure that they had him in that UFO in 1942 and did something to him. I would say he is above average intelligence. It is my opinion he has had genuine experiences. An incredible case, I think, by anyone's measurement. And it was investigated thoroughly. (0:12:53)

It's clear this gentleman is not seeking any publicity. He kept his encounter a secret for decades, and yet it does show many of the patterns we see with ET contact. Particularly interesting to me is the fact that he had quite a bit of paranormal and psychic events. So this is something we see a lot with UFO contactees. It's a really amazing case.
