This one again is not that well known, but certainly deserves to be. And I call this one, Landing at a French Farm. This is a very close-up case involving a landing and humanoid. Quite a strange humanoid, I might add. It occurred on December 9, 1977 in Fonferre, France. And it's a really compelling case, because this witness got a very close-up view of this UFO and this humanoid. (01:05:27)

It was a pretty long encounter, with some apparent landing traces as well. And some really interesting corroboration from other witnesses in the area. The main witness in this case is known only as Chanta L. She's a 12-year-old girl. It was about 6.30 on December 9, 1977, that Chanta had just finished her kitchen chores and was looking out the window to the field west of her house. (01:05:56)

This is when she saw a very bright glowing red, kind of flattened oval-shaped object, floating right above the trees. It was pretty big, about 22 feet long, 8 to 10 feet high, and moving slowly, about 15 miles per hour. She could hear a whining motor sound coming from it, and suddenly it came in for a landing, just about 150 feet away. It was just moments later that she saw a 7 or 8 foot tall figure emerge from the center upper edge of the object. (01:06:32)

It floated to the right, floated down to the ground, then moved over to the other side, floated up to the top again, and apparently re-entered the object as it was no longer visible. But Chanta never did see any doors open or close. This figure just emerged, came down, skirted around the object, floated back up, and went back inside. And she said this figure was very strange looking. (01:06:59)

Its head was kind of squarish, it had a dark face plate, it had short gray-white neck, rough looking, dull textured scuba diving suit, all medium gray. She said its legs were very long, had a very thin body, she was close enough to see that it had five fingers on each hand, and it seemed to float rather than walk. And not once did it move its arms or legs, they just stayed stiffly by the side of its body. (01:07:29)

Now after this entity entered the craft, the craft rose upwards, going no higher than 40 or 50 feet, making the same whining noise, and promptly landed again. (01:07:41)

This was about 30 feet from the road, 150 feet from the house, and as it landed a second time, the whining engine noise stopped. The witness left the window to move to another nearby window for a better view, and watched this object for about two minutes until it suddenly rose upwards and moved off. The total duration of the encounter was about 15 minutes. (01:08:05)

Sadly, around this time, her mother was working in the barn, did not see or hear anything, returned into the house, and heard the story from her daughter. It turned out the dog in the house did not react either. But something very interesting happened the next day, because when they let the cows out, the cows began jumping around in all directions, almost as if they were receiving electric shocks, and this was exactly in the area where this craft had landed. Also going to the site where this craft had landed, they found that the grass was all wilted, as if subjected to extreme heat. They also found nine footprints, pressed about a half inch into the soil, and there was some corroboration of this. Two days later, on the evening of December 11, 1977, Chantal's two younger brothers reported seeing an object of the same shape and size moving around in the sky. (01:09:05)

Investigators learned that there was another gentleman from Beaumont, located northeast of Fonfray. He said he saw a bright red round object at low altitude heading directly towards the location of this first encounter, Fonfray. He doesn't remember the exact date, but does say it was early December of 1977, so it could have been the same day, but that's not verified. Another testimony comes from a man who said that on December 1, he also saw a bright red object moving slowly at low altitude in this same area. (01:09:42)

None of these other witnesses saw the object land, or did they see any humanoids, but these descriptions definitely fit Chantal's observation and provide an extra level of confirmation. Another unusual thing about this area is that there is a large cave. Pretty fascinating case, I think you'll agree. I'm always curious as to what draws UFOs and ETs to a particular location. There are a lot of landings at farms, so perhaps that's what was going on here. (01:10:15)

I also found it fascinating that there are some very large caves in this area, because there are other cases where UFOs seem to be hovering over cave systems. Perhaps this is a loose association because there are so many cases occurring all over the world that I think we really are looking for patterns and connections that might not necessarily be there. Hard to say for sure, but we do need to check out all the evidence and try to figure out what's going on here. (01:10:45)
