I mean, there is a Paul DeRue made the major books on that in the 1980s. And I think he was able to show that how important they play a role in the world. Perception doesn't mean they are present all the time. The other aspects of them also is that because they are so highly magnetized, they seem to when we're close to them, seems to have an impact on our brain. (00:47:52)
And some research shows that the paranormal or parapsychological capacity, so I don't know the paranormal or parapsychological capacity, so either psychokinesis or telepathy and things like that, seems to be more, we seem to be more prone to have these types of experiences when we're under a lot of magnetism. So again, it seems that there is a relationship between perceptions, electromagnetism, earth lights and UFO events. (00:48:31)
They seem to connect in a number of cases. I'm not saying they're there all the time, but in a number of cases, we can see that nexus of conditions to create a very weird UFO experience.

Eric Ouellet joins me for a fascinating discussion of his new book, Illuminations: The UFO Experience as a Parapsychological Event. He proposes that we should examine the UFO Phenomenon as we would a poltergeist case. It's a novel way of looking at it, and may ultimately play a part in solving this enigma.
