この機序を推測する​

UFO がグラついていた、という証言が重要。これはこの UFO の正体が「知性体が操る高度な飛行装置」ではなく、自然現象であることを示唆している。

他にも「UFO が落ち葉運動をした」という目撃証言が多数あるが、これも自然現象を示唆している。

ではなぜ、UFO がグラついたり、落ち葉運動をするのか？ これについては

仮説：撮影された UFO の回転対称軸が水平と垂直の二通りである理由 （＋追加）

で説明しかけダルくて放置したが、ざっと以下の機序だと推測する（観測データがほぼ皆無ゆえ推測しかできない）。まず、

  • (1) UFO の正体は自転する orb であり、

  • (2) orb のサイズが小さい場合、分極効果が小さいので磁界が支配的となり自転軸は地磁気の方向に沿って水平になる。

  • (3) orb のサイズが大きくなると、分極効果が大きくなるので電界が支配的となり自転軸は大気電界に沿って垂直になる(*1)。

という前提がある。そして 3 の場合、大気中の電界の変動の周期、振幅にそって以下のように UFO が運動する。

  • (3a) 上空の電界（垂直の向き）が小振幅で素早く（水平方向に）揺れると――垂直に立てた長い棒（＝電界）が小刻みに左右に揺れるイメージ―― orb の自転軸もグラつく。

  • (3b) 上空の電界（垂直の向き）が大振幅でゆっくり揺れると――垂直に立てた長い棒が大きく左右に揺れるイメージ―― orb は落ち葉運動をする。

  • (3c) 上空の電界が大振幅で素早く変化すると orb は一瞬で彼方へ飛び去る。

よく、UFO が空中に静止していたが、戦闘機が現場上空に飛来すると

  • UFO は戦闘機をからかうように変幻自在な機動を示した、とか
  • UFO は一瞬で彼方へ飛び去った

という証言を見聞きするが、これは

  • UFO が知的に操縦されているから

ではなく、

  • UFO(=orb) の周囲の電界が戦闘機（＋長いジェットエンジンからの排気：導電性が高い）の出現によって大きく乱されたため、orb の挙動がその電界変動に伴って変化した

から、そう見えただけだろう。

orb は大気電界（地表付近だと 100 V/m）に沿って分極するが、orb のサイズが大きくなるとその分極の効果が顕著になり、orb の下部にはプラスイオンが、上部にはマイナスイオンが集まる。

We watched it for minutes, enough to make a lot of really close observations. These were the notes about my sighting when there was a report at the Center for UFO Studies. These were my notes on the sighting. On the right-hand side there, I listed all the specific things. It was soundless. It didn't make a sound. There was no exhaust. There were no portholes. Classic saucer shape. No a dome, like an upside-down soup bowl on top of an upside-down plate, meeting a right-side-up plate, meeting a shallow soup bowl. Having now reached his 70’s, noted producer / director Paul Davids states that his life experiences include a variety of mind-boggling incidents that defy scientific understanding. After graduating from Princeton University (with a degree in psychology) and completing a fellowship at the American Film Institute (AFI) Center for Advanced Film Studies, Paul became filmmaker of motion pictures that go to the heart of what those interested in UFO’s, alternative history and the “paranormal” are seeking.

His 1987 daylight saucer sighting with his two children became a catalyst for him to become the co-writer and executive producer of Showtime’s “Roswell: The UFO Cover-up” (1994). He has also had experiences (including with physical evidence) that suggest afterlife or “spirit world” communication. His interests expanded over the years to include all types of “paranormal” phenomena: reincarnation, deep hypnosis, ghosts and spirits, shamanism, synchronicities, psychedelic experiences and even apparitions of the Virgin Mary, Jesus’ missing years and other Biblical mysteries.

Paul received much praise for his presentation as the closing speaker at the July 2019 MUFON International Symposium in Irvine. Now Paul brings us a completely different talk as our November speaker. The theme is “non-conventional consciousness” and motion pictures. He will examine film history to highlight some of the major films that deal with topics shunned by the “Establishment,” and he will show that many of his own films fit in with those themes. He will try to answer the question as to how a boy from a very “straight” suburban community very far from Hollywood, whose parents were agnostics who didn’t believe in ANY of the “strange” subjects he came to embrace – how it is that he came a fierce proponent of so many topics that the so-called “mainstream” always tries to debunk. He will give us intimate details of events in his life defy explanation and inspired him toward the directions in life he has taken.

Paul promises this presentation will be a rousing, paranormal roller coaster ride.
